Smooth and sculpt — sans scalpel

Lift and firm skin non-surgically with Morpheus8 in Newport Beach

Morpheus8 offers an advanced and non-surgical solution to skin laxity virtually anywhere on the body by combining microneedling and radiofrequency technologies. Together, these modalities induce subdermal adipose remodeling as deep as 8mm beneath the skin’s surface and sculpt fat to achieve a more toned and contoured appearance.

Morpheus8 is safe and effective as a standalone treatment and when used in combination with other modalities. Treatment is convenient and involves minimal recovery, offering a clear advantage for patients who would like to address their concerns without surgery. The team at The Aesthetic Lounge strives to deliver the best Morpheus8 Newport Beach has to offer, so you can achieve a sleeker, younger appearance from head to toe.

How does Morpheus8 work?

Like traditional microneedling, Morpheus8 penetrates the skin’s surface with ultra-fine needles to create micro-channels.

However, in contrast to traditional microneedling, the needles utilized with Morpheus8 transmit radio frequency energy deep beneath the skin’s surface to effect changes throughout your skin’s multiple layers. At the same time, this deep penetration of radiofrequency heat effectively sculpts subdermal fat. Collectively, these modalities create a significantly more sculpted, youthful appearance in treated areas than either can accomplish alone.

Your Morpheus8 procedure

When you arrive for your treatment at our office in Newport Beach Morpheus8 specialist, Nurse Liz will welcome and invite you into one of our state-of-the-art treatment areas. Depending on the planned depth of your treatment, Nurse Liz will administer a numbing cream or local anesthesia.

Before your treatment begins, Nurse Liz will perform a spot test to ensure that you will not experience adverse reactions. Once it is confirmed that you can safely undergo treatment, your treatment can begin. Nurse Liz will carefully and methodically apply your Morpheus8 throughout the target area, stamping the skin with the radiofrequency-transmitting needles. You will notice a sensation of pressure and may feel some discomfort during treatment. However, this discomfort is usually tolerable due to the applied anesthesia. You can expect your treatment to take approximately 15 minutes to one hour.

Your Morpheus8 recovery

While there is some recovery involved with Morpheus8 treatment, you should not need to endure any actual downtime.

You may experience some redness, swelling, and itching following treatment. However, these minor side effects typically resolve on their own within one to three days. In order to prevent hyperpigmentation, you should avoid direct sun exposure for several weeks following treatment. You may also use a broad-spectrum sunscreen of 30 SPF or higher to protect your skin if you have to go out.

Additional Reading

To maximize your treatment, you can apply specific skincare products during your recovery period as the micro-channels created with Morpheus8 will allow for the deeper absorption of hyaluronic acid, peptides, growth factors, or retinol. Enzymatic masks and gentle exfoliating cleansers may also help to expedite the healing process. However, it is important to discuss with Nurse Liz the specific products you intend to use during recovery to ensure their safety and any sensitivities you may have to skincare products. Our office can also recommend the best products for your treatment, recovery, and maintenance.

Your Morpheus8 results

Your results will appear in the days to weeks following your treatment, with the most noticeable changes becoming visible at around three weeks.

However, your results will continue to develop for about three months, as this is how long it takes for subdermal adipose remodeling to occur. While some of our Newport Beach Morpheus8 patients require just one treatment to achieve their desired results, others may need up to three treatments. Patients who undergo multiple treatments can expect to realize their full results about 90 days after their last treatment.

Morpheus8 FAQs

While you may experience minor discomfort during your treatment, Morpheus8 is well-tolerated by most patients. Also, topical or local anesthesia may be applied to increase comfort.

Morpheus8 is considered safe, with minimal risk. However, you may experience some minor side effects. The most common of these are swelling, scabbing, redness, itching, or bleeding. These issues, should they occur, usually resolve within a few days. Rarely, long-lasting complications, including grid marks or textural issues, may occur. With any treatment, you can minimize your risks by seeking treatment from a reputable provider like The Aesthetic Lounge.
